Hi Nicola,

I had an awful date last night. Am I expecting too much for the house to be clean and the bed made? I’m happy I left. I decided I was too old to ‘go through with it’. But am I asking too much?

I’m so used to being on my own, why would I want someone I have to look after who doesn’t make things easier for me? And instead becomes someone I end up moaning at. That’s no fun, is it?

I just think, for me, because I’ve been disappointed in the past I’m just no good with men. At this point, I think it would be more shocking for friends and family if I did get a boyfriend! Being single is just easier. Dating is hard work and I just can’t be bothered.

Can’t Be Bothered
