Dear Nicola, I am thinking of leaving London but I'm worried I'll be lonely

Can I ask about your social circle back in Shrewsbury? Same as you, I moved back with parents in March as LUCKILY I was leaving London flat in April anyway.

It’s September and I’m thinking about actually going back to London or not. My worry is my friends... I have some down here. But EVERYONE is married and or has kids. I’ve tried to meet up with people, but it’s always hard and not the same as London.

I’d love to know how people have moved home and still had a social life? One thing, is that in the ‘burbs going out is a really big deal whereas in London, you can meet on a Tuesday for a drink and a meal and there will be an atmosphere. Whereas here any day of the week apart from Fri/Sat, everywhere is dead!

Then it means there is a big “what are people wearing? I need to plan to leave my car at home” etc etc... adding so much pressure to the night which for me makes it less enjoyable.
